Today’s run was a battle — 4 miles in 85° heat and brutal wind gusts that felt like running into a wall. After a full week of perfect low-70s weather, this sudden heat wave hit hard and turned this run into a mental challenge as much as a physical one.
Running in the heat is always tricky — your pace slows, hydration becomes more important, and the wind doesn’t make it any easier. But that’s what training is all about: staying consistent, adapting, and pushing through tough conditions.
