When 1 Mile Is All You’ve Got

Some days your legs just don’t have it. I wanted to run more this morning, but after one slow mile, I knew it was time to call it a recovery day.
That’s not weakness — that’s smart training. Between a 20-mile run yesterday and a 7-hour shift on my feet coaching kids, the smartest move was to stop early.
One mile at trash pace still counts. That’s how you build longevity.
