My thoughts:
I tried this a number of times with many different launch techniques (including manual shifting). I got the best results (which still are not that good) by leaving it in S-mode and letting the car decide what to do.
Any type of aggressive launch overpowers the tires, resulting in poor or mediocre 60ft times. The wheelspin can be avoided by feathering the throttle off the line, but 60′ time will be worse than if you let them spin. Stickier tires plus an aggressive launch would completely transform this car, because after it gains traction, it pulls pretty hard
With regular tires and wheelspin, the best 0-60 mph times are about 5.1-5.2 seconds. Best 1/4 mile time is in the low-to-mid 13’s at about 108 mph.
Comparison to my STi: Taking the awd launch out of the equation, the two cars would be dead even. Keep the AWD launch in, and the STi wins by a full second 0-60 and 1/4 mile
