Alaska Cruise Animals 🥰

クルーズ

I got to throw a crab and sunflower sea star back into the Alaskan waters 🥰

Visiting Alaska literally changed my life. I know I talk about Alaska a lot, but its truly because it was the best experience. And next time I go, I’ll be sure to go during the salmon run!

We took so much time evaluating all of the excursions offered through Disney Cruise Line for each port looking for the perfect match for us.

This was part of the Alaska Whales & Science Adventure (JU33). In this excursion, we had a naturalist lead us through some of the Juneau rainforest. He talked to us about the wildlife and plants in the area. We walked to a bridge where we checked the pH, O2, temperature and other pieces of data to check the water quality of that stream. Then he told us about the salmon that come to the stream every year.

Next, we went on a whale watching cruise! But first, we stopped at a spot to check a crab pot. This was laid out to do research on the local marine life, specifically on the European Green Grab- and invasive species. We didn’t find one (that’s a good sign) but caught a crab and a MASSIVE Sunflower Sea Star! I volunteered to throw them back into the water after we were done observing and learning.

THEN we went to see whales! I saw humpback whales in the distance, but we got a GREAT view of a family of Orcas that breached. This was a moment where I actually cried. I felt so lucky to witness that!

Whether you are wanting to cruise with Disney, Princess (the #1 cruise line for Alaska), Royal Caribbean, or any other, I can help you plan!! Just DM me to get started!
