MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! James Pieratt has officially completed his journey, running 802 miles in 24 days, 6 hours, 22 minutes on an expedition totaling 1,018 miles!
(The remaining balance of miles required vehicle support due to impassible obstacles: wildfire zones, landslides, military bases, etc).
This historical project began at Mission San Diego and concluded at the Sue-meg Yurok village, spanning nearly the entire state of California.
In 25 days, James visited the ancestral lands of THIRTEEN indigenous California tribes to raise awareness for the culture and history of Native America, contesting with extreme fatigue, injury, dehydration, and a forced route change through more challenging terrain.
A documentary about the entire journey will release this fall.
