Bristol Motor Speedway . . . . . .

Bristol Motor Speedway, also known as the “World’s Fastest Half-Mile,” has been a staple of the NASCAR circuit since its inception in 1961. The track’s design was inspired by a visit to the newly-constructed Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina in 1960. The track’s construction was completed in around 12 months, and it hosted its first NASCAR event on July 30, 1961. The track’s grandstands and high-banked turns have made it a fan favorite, providing a unique and thrilling racing experience. Under the ownership of Speedway Motorsports, the track has continued to innovate, with the entire circuit converted to dirt for the World of Outlaws and again for the NASCAR Cup series spring race.
