Windy 10K 🌬️ | Shaking Out Before Tomorrow’s 16-Miler 🏃‍♂️

Today was all about discipline and patience. 6 miles at a steady pace, keeping things controlled with tomorrow’s 16-miler in mind. The wind definitely made its presence known, but honestly, that was a good thing — it kept me from pushing too hard and reminded me to respect the bigger picture of training.

I cruised through at 8:42 pace with an average HR of 140 bpm, keeping it smooth and easy. Sometimes it’s tempting to let the legs go, especially when you’re feeling good early, but saving that extra gear for long run day is the smarter move. These kinds of runs don’t look flashy, but they’re the ones that make tomorrow possible.

Running is more than chasing PRs or fast splits — it’s about stacking the miles, listening to your body, and knowing when to pull back. Today was windy, today was slower, but today was exactly what I needed to set up a strong long run. Excited to see how tomorrow’s 16 miles unfold.
